Ever wanted a piece of furniture in your home that you would love to stare and pine over? My sliding barn door entertainment center is just that! This has been on my wishlist for such a long time and now we finally have the entertainment center of our dreams.
Barn Door Entertainment Center
This has been something I have been waiting for such a long time. Now, I finally have it! I can’t help but brag about this piece of furniture to everyone that walks through my front door. I seem to always get a lot of questions from people when they see it, like “where did you get?”, is usually the first thing they ask.
Where it was made
While doing research to find someone to make this design I figured I would take a look at Etsy and see if anyone near me might build furniture. Low and behold! I found someone who wasn’t even an hour away from me! WooHoo! I immediately messaged them to see if he could make my custom design. Tim eventually replied to me to let me know he could make it for me. After going back and forth a bit to make sure the dimensions were right I put in my order only to wait anxiously for the next few weeks for the finished product.
Unfortunately, I placed the order right before the holidays and Tim already had more orders before mine. I figured it wasn’t a big deal since I waited this long. Luckily, I received some updates from Tim with progress photos.
He teased me with these progress photos. It only got me more excited.
IT ARRIVED!
When the time arrived to pick up the barn door entertainment center, I was surprised when Tim said he would deliver it himself. To be honest, I was more than ok with that. It was going to be a challenge borrowing a trailer big enough from somebody to pick it up.
When Tim arrived and started bringing in the barn door entertainment center in pieces I started getting all giddy. My husband saw the excitement on my face. When everything was all assembled I couldn’t help but sit on the couch and stare at it.
Isn’t it beautiful?! Well, I think it is.
This is the finished product after decorating. Isn’t that 1926 Underwood typewriter so cool?!
Where did I get the idea?
Some of you may be wondering where I got the idea for the design. Well, I wish I could take all the credit for it but unfortunately, I’m not that original. I happened across a blog called Family and the Lake House that showed a design of what I had been wanting for a long time.
So pretty! If you want to check out what Marie had to go through to make this magnificent piece you can check it out here.
The only issue was that it was so much bigger than what our space allowed. So that’s when I had to figure out the dimensions to make sure we could still do it. Luckily it worked out to where it could fit our TV and still look very nice.
So there you have it, my inspirational sliding barn door entertainment center. Let me know if you like it in the comments below!

I’m in love with this entertainment center! Could you please send me the measurements/dimensions on the size you had made? Thank you so much!
Hi Carla!
I’m glad you like it! It was custom fit for my space but the dimensions 88″ tall to its highest point, 96″ wide and 19″ deep.
Hope this helps!
This is beautiful!!!! So you have to slide the doors open every time you want to watch tv? And the doors then cover your shelves?
Thank you ?
Hi Sharon!
I’m glad you like it! Yes, the doors would slide open each time you would like to watch TV and would cover the shelves. I mostly only close it when I have guests over, but keep it open throughout the day since my little one loves to watch Sesame Street. 🙂
Aw cute! Thank you ❣️
