Coming up with dinner ideas on the fly isn’t always the smartest move when you have a busy life. Dinner recipes for easy dinner planning can actually not be a headache every night when you have a plan. Coming up with a schedule and planning out your shopping list is always a chore. See how I found some awesome freezer meals and freezer crockpot meals with no strain on my brain!
I have been having a tough time lately.
The past couple of weeks have been tough. My schedule has been really wonky. My 10-month-old has been going to bed a little later than normal and seems to wake up at the same time every morning.
This doesn’t seem like that big a deal, right? Well, his normal bedtime is usually anywhere between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. The issue is that he has been falling asleep around 9:30 to 10 p.m.! Yikes!
That extra hour or so puts a damper on any household or work-related chores that I have to complete by the end of the night. Not to mention if my husband and I have plans to watch any of our favorite TV shows (any Flash fans in the house?!) has been pretty much shot.
Dinner Planning
Since my little guy has been deciding to fall asleep later in the evenings it means his naps have been all messed up as well.
This has made dinner planning difficult.
I found a solution!
I like to figure out at the end of each week what our plans are for dinner for the following week. In a sense, it is meal planning.
The only difference is that I don’t put together recipes or have a set list of things I need to buy from the store. I kind of wing it.
This isn’t always the smartest move since life threw me a curveball.
When this new sleeping pattern started, I took the time to sit down and figure out dinner for the rest of the week. I soon realized something had to give. We had been eating at irregular times just to make sure my little guy would eventually get back to his normal schedule. This made cooking next to impossible.
I knew I had to make a better plan for meals without having to prep the night of dinner.
While I was reviewing some recipes on Pinterest, I forgot I had come across MyFreezeasy, which I had saved to one of my boards. This is awesome stuff for meal prep, in my opinion.
How it works
I love when I am able to customize an experience if I’m a member of something. That is exactly how MyFreezeasy works!
You can pick the recipes you would like to try, save your favorite recipes and adjust serving sizes. Each recipe comes with a shopping list! I hate figuring out a shopping list! To me, this was genius!
You can even add to the experience by watching instructional videos and using the mobile app.
Score!
I’m not one to join things that often but, this has definitely been a lifesaver since my schedule has been a cluster.
Prepping, in general, is always a pain. In the end, you are thankful these freezer recipes have been figured out for you and you don’t have to stress each night about chopping veggies or making way too much food.
So worth it!
I hope you find MyFreezeasy as helpful as I did.
Don’t forget…
The creator of MyFreezeasy also has a great opportunity for tightening up your grocery budget. It’s called the Grocery Budget Makeover. Another great resource for getting a better handle on your household budget!
