Making time to do chores, let alone set up a chore chart or chores schedule, can be a burden if you have kids. Now a chore chart for kids does not have to be a challenge. Setting up a chores schedule weekly can be easy as pie.
Chores Schedule
When I have to make a list of my to-dos for the week I tend to always forget that I have chores that need to get done on a weekly basis. It’s just one of those things that I know I always have to do and I feel that writing them doesn’t really matter. Consequently, this isn’t true.
Every week I plan out my goals on my daily schedule and never do I actually write down my entire list of chores. The past few months I have been trying to hammer out my goals and forgetting my important day-to-day tasks. Unfortunately, this has been happening because I have not been writing them down!
A Better Plan
Since I have been letting my cleaning schedule slip through the cracks, my house has been a little turned upside down. Toys are scattered everywhere, the office is very disorganized, the dishes have not been put away. I could go on. Due to having an unorganized mess has caused my production level to go down, not to mention my stress levels seem higher than normal.
So I decided I needed a better plan and actually create a separate chores schedule in addition to my normal schedule. I did it this way since I know I have certain goals I need to accomplish each week. I then set aside one to two hours a day to do the chores on that list, that way my chores won’t interfere with my goals. As a result, I am now able to get everything done in a timely manner and maintain my goals.
Chores for the Kids
Some of you probably need assistance scheduling chores for your kids. I am a big believer in a good work ethic and think a good way to instill this in our kids is to have them help with household chores.
The chore chart I created can be printed off numerous times and you can assign chores however you like. Just write the name of the kiddo at the top and fill in the chores that they need to accomplish. I made sure to keep it simple. I even made a box at the bottom for a reward if they complete all their chores because some kids need the extra motivation.
How can this help you?
Finally, I have made this chore chart available to you for FREE! This simple to use chores schedule is available to download as printable. Sign up below to get your copy emailed to you.
