Home cleaning. We all have to do it. Wouldn't it be easier if there were some cleaning hacks tips and tricks? Well, it can get easier with cleaning hacks but you need to start with some cleaning tips. A cleaning caddy is a gateway to conquering your cleaning schedule. This simple tool keeps you all organized and cleaning caddy organization is key when trying to save time cleaning your home. #cleaningschedule #cleaning #caddy #cleaningcaddy #cleaninghacks #cleaningtips

When I was younger, my mother had a cleaning caddy she would store at the bottom of our linen closet. She would always make me use it to do my weekly chores and clean the bathrooms. Never would I have thought, as an adult, how convenient it would be to have a stocked cleaning caddy.

Why have a cleaning caddy?

It’s so easy just to keep everything together. When I first moved out to live on my own I would keep all my cleaning supplies in one spot in my apartment. When it was time to clean I would be constantly running back and forth retrieving those cleaning supplies.

It got old real fast. #thestruggleisreal Haha!

So instead of just buying myself a neat little cleaning caddy, I would lug all of the cleaning supplies from their place of storage with me all at once to the cleaning destination.

Was this a smart thing to do? Probably not. I was just not in a place to think about spending a few extra bucks on a plastic container to hold bottles of chemicals and soap. In other words, I was being cheap.

So I struggled and lugged all those bottles and supplies around each time I cleaned.

Years later, I have still been lugging those bottles and supplies. Why am I still doing this to myself?

Well, to be honest, I haven’t really given it much thought. I am so used to going back and forth to clean it doesn’t really bother me anymore.

One day I was skimming through Pinterest and found this blog post on How to Stock a Double-Duty Cleaning Caddy. Never would I have thought so much could be involved in making sure you have all your supplies in one place. So I tried it out with the supplies I knew I needed on a regular basis.

Let me just say that my mom had the right idea when she would make me use her cleaning caddy to do chores.

What to put in your cleaning caddy

This food for thought really depends on the person doing the cleaning. If that is you then I’m sure you already know what products work best in your home. If you are stocking a cleaning caddy for the kids to use for their chores, then you should probably consider the products you think they can handle and not end up pouring out all over the hardwood floors and destroying them. Just something to think about.

You know what you like

I’m not going to sit here and type out a huge list of different cleaning supplies. You already know what works best for your home and have probably tried out a few products over the years. So instead I’m going to provide you with a quick list of core cleaning products to stock in your cleaning caddy. These products have been generalized since there are so many different brands available.

  • All-Purpose Cleaner
  • Floor Cleaner (either for tile grout or hardwood)
  • Bathroom Spray
  • Toilet Bowl Cleaner
  • Cleaning Wipes for multi-purpose use
  • Carpet or Upholstery Cleaner
  • Sponge
  • Scrub Brush
  • Micro-Fiber Cleaning Cloths
  • Duster
  • Rubber Gloves

Don’t forget the actual cleaning caddy! This is the one I have.
