Have you walked into a small shop and wonder why they smell so amazing? Ever think you can make your home smell amazing just like that place? Well, these stores do a little trick that you can mimic to get the exact same smell for your home.

Make Your Home Smell Amazing

I finally figured out the trick how these stores make their little spaces smell so wonderful. At first, I always think they have some kind of candle that is lit in a corner and that is what is giving off this incredible smell. After doing some snooping around these shops to see where this miraculous smell is originating from I am always thoroughly disappointed when no candle turns up.

One day I walked into a local boutique that has a lot of home goods and crafts when that delicious smell hit me in the face. I finally asked the girl at the counter what the smell was and she pointed to a diffuser tucked by the register. She said they have them displayed in a few spots throughout the store to keep everything smelling so yummy.

Why didn’t I think of that?

Of course it was a diffuser! Silly me not to think that people actually use these things. I was given a few diffusers when I first got married and tried using them. The bottles were really pretty but the actual oils did not smell all that great and the scent died out pretty quickly.

I really don’t think I knew what I was doing. I had a bunch of clashing smells at one point and my house smelled a bit overwhelming. So I ended up not bothering after that point.

I tried it again and the results were incredible

I took a picture of the bottle in the store so I could find that scent on my own. Eureka! I found it online! I did end up splurging and buying one to test it out.

Normally I would never spend this much on an item as silly as this (it is expensive but so worth it) but I was really convinced it would make my home smell amazing. I made sure there was enough wiggle room in the budget for this kind of item.

You can find it on Amazon: Archipelago Home Fragrance Diffuser

I then expanded the smell

Initially, I purchased the one and had such great compliments. Over time a bought a few more. Now my home smells like a lovely little spa.

So how do you make your home smell amazing?

  • Get a few diffusers rather than just one.
  • Place them throughout your home so they are evenly spread.
  • Check to make sure the scent is not too overwhelming if standing in one spot of your house.
  • Only use one scent at a time to make your home smell amazing. (That was the mistake I made when I first used reed diffusers)

There you have it!

It is as simple as that! If you are looking for other scents rather than the Lavande Archipelago blend (lavender and thyme) then check out these others:
